Statement

Interference patterns on cream paper. A six-step lossy chain that degrades and transforms a wall into clouds into condensation. An accumulative chain that narrows a system into a plot. Three agents shown the same screenshot, each making something different. The medium of handoff — code, screenshot, sentence — determines the axis of development.

Nodal Lines

Chladni-inspired interference. Eight plane waves at different orientations and frequencies, rendered as inky dark lines on a cream ground. Slow amplitude envelopes — 105 to 335 second periods — make the lines breathe and shift. Organic, calligraphic, slowly drifting. Visually distinct from everything else in the practice.

Six-step lossy chain from the wall piece. Alternating handoff: screenshot, sentence, screenshot, sentence, screenshot. Best work at steps 2–4; by step 5, Claude defaults dominate. The chain traces a path from wall to cloth to fog to closing sky to pattern-work to condensation.

Accumulative Chain on Bioluminescence

Four agents modified the bioluminescence piece via accumulative chain. They read the “recovering” states and predator system as mortality and deepened the death metaphor through every step. Original was a system — a living ecology. The result became a plot — organisms that die and are reborn. Plots are less interesting than systems. Narrative accrual is a default attractor for accumulative chains.

Three agents each received only a screenshot of 088. No code, no context, no brief beyond “make something.” All three stayed in 088’s visual territory — warm, organic, glowing. Screenshot handoff produces variation on theme, not counterpoint. Compare with code handoff, which produces counterpoint.
